Pululahua Geobotanical Reserve
It is an extinct but active volcano that is a true natural gem. It is incredible to think that it is one of only two inhabited craters in the world and the third largest, measuring no less than 12 km in diameter. When moisture-laden clouds roll in from the coast each afternoon, life in this caldera hides under a white blanket—it's magical! It is also the only protected area in the country with the status of "Geobotanical Reserve," which means that its geological condition and biological diversity, both in fauna and flora, must be conserved and protected. Intiñán Interactive Museum
Its etymology comes from the Quechua words Inti, meaning sun, and Ñan, meaning path. Together, they translate as "Path of the Sun." At the Intiñan Museum, you can learn a lot of fascinating information about the history of our ancestors, their homes, customs, and traditions. In addition, you will have the opportunity to conduct interactive experiments on the equator (latitude 0) while learning about nature and the phenomena that occur in this part of the world! It is an experience not to be missed!

City Halfway Around the World
The Middle of the World City is an impressive cultural complex that includes the famous Middle of the World monument. This site aims to highlight the exact location of the equator, which is the basis for the country's name, and to highlight the important 18th-century Franco-Spanish geodesic mission that located the approximate place where the equatorial line passes. In addition, this complex has an ethnographic museum that showcases the country's fascinating indigenous cultures. In the four permanent exhibition pavilions and the planetarium, you can learn about various scientific, historical, and cultural topics.
