Cajas Park offers impressive landscapes of cloud forest and Andean paramo. The mysterious silence of its mountains invites us to walk through its incredible trails bordering some lagoons. There are more than 200 lagoons. During the hike we observe interesting endemic plants, as well as local birds. Enjoy the contact with nature in this unique place in the Ecuadorian Andes.

Pick up at the hotel (time to be established with the tourists, preferably no later than 9AM) Transfer from Cuenca to Cajas National Park, you will go directly to the area of Llaviuco, in the lower part at 3100 meters above sea level, this trail is flat and easy to walk through a cloud forest, it takes approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Then we continue the visit to the highest area of the park called Tres Cruces (4.160 m.a.s.l. approx.) there depending on the weather we will have a beautiful panoramic view of the park and some of its lagoons, we will have time for photography and explanations of the guide.

After visiting "Tres Cruces" you will travel by vehicle to Laguna Toreadora, where we visit the Interpretation Center. Then we start a 2h30 walk at an altitude ranging from 3900 to 3600 meters above sea level. The hike crosses the Polylepis Forest called "San Luis", then go to the United Lagoons, Totoras Lagoon and finally Patoquinuas. At the end you will return to Laguna Toreadora or in the case that we have more than 3 pax in the tour will end in the parking lot of Patoquinoas. Lunch at a local restaurant (drinks not included). Return to the city at approximately 15:30.

IMPORTANT: When giving information about tours to Cajas NP, it is necessary to consult the physical condition of the tourist before making the sale. As the modality of the tour is PRIVATE, if the tourist does not feel very well (due to the effect of the altitude) we will complete the tour with another visit within the area. In this way, the tourist will have at his disposal a guide to make the hike according to his pace and physical condition.
