Arrival at the Lodge

The Lodge offers a variety of optional activities (not included), such as guided hikes, horseback riding, and chocolate workshops, as well as facilities that include a private reserve, a palm tree-shaped pool, and a crystal-clear river. In the evenings, guests enjoy a delicious three-course gourmet dinner. The next day, you will visit the "AmaZOOnico" animal rescue center, spend time with a native Kichwa family, and explore the market in the capital city of Tena. The trip concludes with a gourmet dinner and the opportunity to enjoy the Lodge's facilities before departure.

Napo + Amazon

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, we will head to the Napo River, where we will board a motorized canoe that will take us to the "AmaZOOnico" wildlife rescue center, where we will meet monkeys, parrots, tapirs, and ocelots. We will also take a fascinating walk to learn about the flora, insects, medicinal plants, and understand the importance of the jungle for local cultures. After a picnic lunch on the riverbank, we will visit a native Kichwa family, who will teach us how to prepare chicha, the typical drink of indigenous communities. We will end the day with a visit to the colorful market in the capital city of Tena to learn about some of the most interesting local products. In the afternoon, you can relax and enjoy the lodge's facilities, and in the evening, you will savor a delicious three-course gourmet dinner in our restaurant.

Last day

Your stay at Hakuna Matata Amazon Lodge is coming to an end, but before you leave, you can still enjoy one last swim in our spectacular pool or take part in an optional activity.
