Transfer from Baltra Airport – Visit to the Upper Part – Lava Tunnels From

Upon arrival at San Cristóbal Airport, we will transfer you to the hotel for check-in, marking the beginning of your exciting adventure. Discover Cerro Tijeras, near Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, known for the magnificent frigatebirds that visit it, offering the opportunity to learn about and compare these incredible birds. Just 10 minutes from the airport, explore Playa La Lobería, a coral sand coastline inhabited by sea lions and other species, carefully maintained by National Park staff. Immerse yourself in the unique biodiversity of the Galápagos from the very first moment!

Interpretive Center – Mann Beach

After breakfast, we headed off to exciting activities. At the Interpretation Center, we explored the complete history of the Galápagos Islands, from their volcanic origin to key events in their colonization. The Natural History Room details aspects such as climate and ocean currents. The Human History Room narrates significant events.

Then, at Playa Mann, a white sand beach, we enjoyed snorkeling in crystal clear waters. Its proximity to the town center makes it a recreational spot, perfect for enjoying breathtaking sunsets. Go snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, and take photos to complete this unique experience!

Sailing to Santa Cruz – Scientific Station – Bay Tour Bahía

After breakfast, we headed to the port to take the ferry to Santa Cruz Island and embark on exciting activities:

  1. Charles Darwin Research Station: Discover conservation in action, observe giant tortoises, iguanas, and finches. Explore trails and the Van Straelen Interpretation Center to learn about marine life.

  2. Upper Part: We will explore the natural habitat of around 8,000 giant tortoises on Santa Cruz. With a naturalist guide, we will tour the lava tunnels, majestic geological formations, and twin craters. Flight to Galápagos – Cerro Tijeretas – La Lobería Beach

Upon arrival at San Cristóbal Airport, we will head to the hotel to check in and begin our exciting adventure.

Cerro Tijeretas, located near Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, is a place frequented by frigatebirds, which owe their name to this area. Here you can observe these majestic birds and learn to distinguish them.

Just 10 minutes from San Cristóbal Airport is La Lobería Beach, known for its coral sand and sea lions. In addition to sea lions, birds such as the Maria canary, frigatebirds, and various species of finches can be spotted here. You can also see Galapagos marine iguanas, unique in the world, resting on the rocks. This site is cared for by National Park staff due to its great importance.

Interpretive Center – Mann Beach

After breakfast, we head off to do the following activities. Interpretation Center: The tour of the Interpretation Center immerses us in the history of the Galapagos Islands, addressing their natural, human, and conservation context. The Natural History Room details aspects such as the volcanic origin of the islands, their geographical isolation, ocean currents, unique climate, and the arrival and establishment of different species. The Human History Room chronologically narrates the most significant events related to the discovery and colonization of the Galapagos. Mann Beach: This white sand beach, formed by the fragmentation of shells, offers crystal clear waters ideal for snorkeling. Given its proximity to the town center, it is a place for recreational use and perfect for enjoying breathtaking sunsets. Here you can enjoy activities such as snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, and photography.

Sailing to Santa Cruz – Scientific Station – Bay Tour Bahía

After breakfast, at the agreed time, we will head to the port to take the ferry that will take us to Santa Cruz Island and carry out the following activities:

Charles Darwin Research Station: Here we will have the opportunity to learn about Galapagos conservation in action. We will be able to observe giant tortoises endemic to the island, land iguanas, finches, and visit the Van Straelen Interpretation Center, where we will learn about Galapagos sharks, mangroves, ocean currents, and invasive marine species.

Bay Tour: This coastal tour, mostly by yacht, will first take us to La Lobería, where we can swim with sea lions, manta rays, turtles, and countless fish. Then, we will visit the Shark Channel and Iguanas Beach. Afterwards, we will sail through the Canal del Amor, a private and romantic spot, before finally disembarking at Punta Estrada and visiting Las Grietas, an inlet located between two natural rock cliffs. We will conclude by enjoying the peaceful and warm Playa de los Alemanes.

Tortuga Bay – Upper Part

After breakfast, at the agreed time, we will carry out the following activities:

Tortuga Bay: We will take a 45-minute walk to this beach, considered one of the 25 best in the world. With its white sand made up of fish bones and white coral, it is a sanctuary for iguanas, sea turtles, and other species. Here we can swim and enjoy activities such as swimming and beach games.

Upper Part: This area is the natural habitat of approximately 8,000 giant tortoises on Santa Cruz Island. The tortoises prefer the island's highlands, where the climate is cooler and more humid, and where they find more food and rainwater. During the tour, accompanied by a naturalist guide, we will be able to appreciate the lava tunnels, majestic geological formations through which hot lava once flowed. We will also have the opportunity to see the famous Escalecia forest, a plant endemic to the Galápagos Islands and one of the favorite habitats of finches.

After breakfast, you will head to the Itabaca Canal to board the boat that will take you to visit several islands. The Windrose is a luxury yacht and the only one that visits two islands in one day. The itinerary varies depending on the day of the tour:

Transfer from Baltra Airport – Visit to the Upper Part – Lava Tunnels From

It is advisable to take flights that arrive before noon so that you can enjoy all the activities at a leisurely pace. The flight will be from Quito or Guayaquil to Baltra Airport. A bilingual naturalist guide will be waiting to accompany you during the transfer to Puerto Ayora. On the way between the airport and the Itabaca Channel, you must pay USD 5 per person on the spot. During the trip, we will make a stop to visit the upper part of the island, where you can marvel at the impressive lava tunnels and enjoy the company of giant tortoises in a semi-natural state.

Bay Tour + Caves + Visit to Tortuga Bay Beach

After breakfast, the day begins with a tour of the bay, including visits to La Lobería Island, known for its large colony of sea lions, where you can snorkel and observe a wide variety of colorful fish and marine species. Then we will head to Punta Estrada, where you can see animals such as terns, boobies, frigatebirds, and sea lions. We will also visit the Canal de los Tiburones to observe sharks and from the viewpoint appreciate the port and the mountains of the upper part of the island. The next stop will be at Playa de los Perros to observe a colony of marine iguanas and enjoy panoramic views. Our last visit will be to Las Grietas, a place with interesting lava formations that form two gigantic walls crossed by an arm of brackish water, ideal for swimming and snorkeling due to the transparency of its waters. After lunch, we will visit Tortuga Bay Beach, one of the longest white sand beaches and a nesting site for black turtles, where you can see marine iguanas, sharks, and sea turtles. Finally, we will return to the hotel.

Isabela Island Navigation – Las Tintoreras Channel

After breakfast, at approximately 7:00 a.m., we will transfer from the hotel to the pier to take the speedboat to Isabela Island. The trip will take approximately two and a half hours. Upon arrival at the island, you will be required to pay the pier usage fee in cash, as required by the local municipality.

During the day, we will visit sites that are highly sought after and valued by visitors. At Las Tintoreras, a small islet off the coast, we will see cracks formed by volcanic activity, where thresher sharks rest, as well as different types of lava, marine iguanas, birds such as the blue-footed booby, sea lions, sea turtles, varieties of fish, and sometimes stingrays and giant manta rays. Then, at the Arnaldo Tupiza Breeding Center, we will observe two of the five subspecies of giant tortoises, which are cared for by park rangers. This center was created to protect tortoises in their early years of life. After this visit, we will go to La Laguna De Flamingos.

Cabo Rosa Tunnels – transfer to Santa Cruz

The tour begins at approximately 8:00 a.m. We will transfer to the pier and sail to our first stop, Roca Unión, a small islet in the open sea where you can see pelicans, Nazca boobies, blue-footed boobies, and sea lions on the rocks. After this short stop, we will sail for approximately 45 minutes until we reach the tunnels of Cabo Rosa, considered one of the most beautiful landscapes of rocky lava formations in the Galápagos Islands. They are called tunnels because in ancient eruptions, lava passed underground, forming tunnels that later collapsed, giving rise to these arches over the water where you can clearly see vegetation growing out of the rocks, crystal clear water, and sea lions fluttering between the arches. Afterwards, we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

Afterwards, we will travel by speedboat to Santa Cruz Island. The trip will take approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, then we will head to the hotel and you will have time to relax.
