The inhabitants of the area and the owners of the buildings are the true custodians of this historical and emblematic heritage, which is a meeting point for those who love Guayaquil traditions. PLACES TO VISIT

1

Historical Park

This beautiful recreational park is a living sample of our cultural and wildlife traditions. You will be able to admire a great variety of flora and fauna species and explore old urban style houses that have been reconstructed in the park. Its 8 hectare extension is divided into three different zones: the Wildlife Zone, the Traditions Zone and the Urban-Architectural Zone. It is the ideal place for those looking to enjoy ecological and archaeological tourism in Guayaquil! We hope you enjoy it to the fullest.

2

Wildlife Zone

We welcome you to this magnificent area that has a great variety of animals native to Guayaquil and the coast of Ecuador. In this wonderful space, you can see endangered species that are rescued by the programs of the Ministry of Environment of Ecuador. This area comprises 37.5% of the total hectares of the park.
As for the exploratory experience, this area consists of elevated trails, which extend over 850 meters and allow interaction between visitors and the environment, without altering the natural habitat of the animals. The trail includes 23 stops where you can enjoy the beautiful natural spectacle and see the animals in environments that mimic their habitat as closely as possible.

3

Traditions Zone

In this area you can enjoy the reconstruction of the fascinating peasant traditions of the Ecuadorian coast. Two different environments await your visit: on the one hand, La Casa San Juan, which is the main part of a 19th century house restored and reconstructed in the park to show the hacienda life; on the other hand, the Casa del Campesino that transports us to the way of life of the peons who worked in the coastal agriculture. You can not miss the permanent exhibition of the main Ecuadorian agricultural products such as coffee, tagua and rubber, as well as the explanation of the famous banana and cocoa boom. In this same space, you can enjoy theatrical performances with peasant themes, where culture, customs and traditions will be at the surface.

4

Urban-Architectural Zone

In this area you will find beautiful landscapes that recreate the Guayaquil of the early 20th century, thanks to the heritage houses found here. These houses were carefully dismantled from their original locations in the 1980s and moved to the Historic Park for preservation, so now you can see them again here!
