During the tour, you will have the opportunity to observe medicinal plants, a lagoon, the Huasquila tree, and experience swinging on a vine. Upon returning to the lodge, an exquisite dinner awaits you, accompanied by the singing of frogs in the lagoon in front of the restaurant. After breakfast, we will begin a hike through the jungle that will last approximately 3 hours, surrounded by primary and secondary forest. During the hike, we will pass through a 120-meter-long cave where you can observe bats. A few meters from there, accompanied by our native guide, we will head to the 14-meter-high "Golondrinas" waterfall, giving you the opportunity to immerse yourself in its waters. On the way back, you will visit a guayusa plantation and factory. In the afternoon, after lunch, we will visit the Kichwa community, where you can participate in a traditional dance, learn about their culture, and witness the preparation of the famous chicha. In the evening, you will enjoy a dinner featuring regional specialties. Afterwards, you will take a night walk around the gardens, where you will have the opportunity to observe frogs, grasshoppers, insects, and, with a little luck, bioluminescent fungi, thus culminating your jungle experience.
We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and checked out.
