Our program will immerse you in the mystery of ancient pre-Inca cultures in Tulipe, where ruins reveal stories buried in time. The northwest of the province of Pichincha offers various alternatives for nature, culture, chocolate and coffee tastings. It will be a magnificent journey through different microclimates, learning about ancestral cultures and enjoying delicious Fino and Aroma coffee and chocolate.
The Tulipe Site Museum and Ceremonial Center is a subtropical sanctuary where the Yumbos, ancient inhabitants of the area, applied their knowledge of architecture and geometry to honor their gods (Moon, Earth, Water). In Tulipe, there are seven sunken structures that were used for purification, initiation, fertility, and gratitude rituals. Alongside these stone structures and along the course of the rivers, several petroglyphs were found that show symbols closely relating human beings to the cosmos.
Frajales is a specialty coffee farm renowned for its quality. The "Coffee Tour" takes place in the subtropical environment of northwestern Pichincha in Nanegalito. It is recommended for coffee and nature lovers who enjoy and experience its unique flavors and aromas. All activities are experiential, allowing you to enjoy this experience while learning about the production process of Ecuadorian specialty coffee, surrounded by a beautiful natural environment. Lunch is scheduled at the farm.
Mindo is a town in the middle of the impressive cloud forest ecosystem. The more than 19 hectares that make up the Mindo Nambillo Protected Forest are part of the Andean Chocó, which was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 2018, as it is one of the most biodiverse places on the planet. This is an educational destination to learn about and enjoy nature and adventure. It is world-renowned as an ideal site for bird watching, with more than 450 species, some of which are endemic, and a wide variety of hummingbirds and tanagers.
