It is located only 40 kilometers from the coast of Puerto Lopez and is part of the Machalilla National Park. It is a very important tourist destination since it is home and refuge for a great variety of marine birds such as blue-footed, red-footed and masked boobies, frigates, pelicans, tropical birds, albatrosses and sea lions. In addition, it is an ideal place for activities such as diving and snorkeling because here you can find the last samples of coral reefs of the Ecuadorian coast. If you have the opportunity to visit between June and September, you will also be able to observe whales.
