Shandia Lodge offers a warm welcome. Arrival at the Lodge
Upon arrival at Shandia Lodge, you will be welcomed with a traditional drink by the friendly staff. Then, you will check in and settle into the lodge to enjoy a delicious lunch. Upon entering the cabins, you will experience the comfort and natural surroundings that this responsible tourism site offers. After an explanation and selection of the necessary equipment, you will take a short walk to visit a typical Quichua family farm, where you will discover the main products grown in the area, especially the fine Amazonian cacao plantations. Afterwards, the family will welcome us into their home and together we will prepare a traditional drink known as chicha de yuca, which you can taste if you wish. Back at the lodge, you will have the opportunity to participate in the production of artisanal chocolate, and then taste the chocolate made with your own hands. You will end the day with a delicious dinner and accommodation at the lodge.

Activities
After breakfast, we will prepare for an exciting day full of adventures. We will hike to the Pimpilala waterfalls, surrounded by lush vegetation and breathtaking natural surroundings. We will continue our journey to the natural pools of Yani, where we will cross a tarabita and take a short walk. Once there, we will enjoy a refreshing swim in its crystal clear waters. Upon returning to the lodge, we will enjoy a delicious lunch, followed by a lesson from our native guide on how to make traps and use a blowgun. In the evening, we will enjoy a tasty dinner and prepare to rest at the lodge.
