Shandia Lodge offers a warm welcome. Take a walk to visit a typical Quichua family farm, where you will explore the local crops and participate in the preparation of a typical drink and the elaboration of handmade chocolate. Embark on an exciting hike to the Pimpilala waterfalls and the natural pools of the Yani.

Arrival at the Lodge
Upon arrival at Shandia Lodge, you will be greeted with a typical drink from the friendly staff. Then, you will check-in and settle into the lodge to enjoy a delicious lunch. Upon entering the cabins, you will experience the comfort and natural environment that this responsible tourism site offers. After an explanation and the selection of the necessary equipment, you will take a short walk to visit a typical Quichua family's farm, where you will discover the main products grown in the area, especially the fine Amazonian cocoa plantations. Afterwards, the family will receive us in their home and together we will prepare a typical drink known as chicha de yuca, which you will be able to taste if you wish. Back at the lodge, you will have the opportunity to participate in the elaboration of handmade chocolate, and then taste the chocolate made with your own hands. You will end the day with a delicious dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Activities
After breakfast, we will prepare for an exciting day full of adventures. We will hike through the Pimpilala waterfalls, surrounded by lush vegetation and an impressive natural environment. We will continue our journey to the natural pools of Yani, where we will cross a tarabita and take a short walk. Once there, we will enjoy a refreshing swim in its crystalline waters. Upon returning to the lodge, we will enjoy a delicious lunch, followed by a lesson from our native guide on how to make traps and use the blowgun. In the evening, we will enjoy a tasty dinner and get ready to rest at the lodge.
