ITINERARY
Discover the Ingapirca Archaeological Complex, the largest and best preserved in Ecuador.Located at 3,180 meters above sea level and 80 km north of Cuenca, this site offers a fascinating journey into the past. Along the way, enjoy Andean landscapes and colorful local clothing. Don't miss the "cascaritas," a delicious pork dish typical of the area.
At Ingapirca, marvel at the Cañari and Inca architecture, temples, solar calculations, and aqueduct system. Afterward, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
On your way back to Cuenca, visit the impressive Virgen del Rocío Church in Biblián, with spectacular views of the valley. On Sundays, don't miss the market in El Tambo, where indigenous people sell and buy products at a vibrant fair.
Remarks: Due to general provisions, the Complex is only open from Wednesday to Sunday.
